Field Construction Technician II (Mid-Level)

SFC Tec Inc. is seeking an experienced Industrial Construction Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for safely performing industrial construction, maintenance, and repair work with minimal supervision while assisting in the successful completion of commercial and industrial projects.
The ideal candidate has experience in industrial construction, mechanical installation, structural steel, or plant maintenance and is capable of working independently while mentoring entry-level employees.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial material handling systems and equipment.
- Install pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems, including structural steel, wall panels, roof systems, trim, insulation, and accessories.
- Perform equipment rigging, lifting, and installation using cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, aerial lifts, and other construction equipment.
- Install and align mechanical equipment, conveyors, piping systems, tanks, structural steel, and production equipment.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, equipment layouts, and assembly instructions.
- Assist with welding, fabrication, equipment modifications, and field repairs.
Must Have
- 3 years of industrial, commercial, or structural construction experience.
- Experience with mechanical equipment installation and industrial maintenance.
- Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Welding and Fabrication Experience
Nice to have
- Equipment Rigging and Signaling Experience
- Osha 10 or Osha 30
- MSHA
- Forklift, telehandler, aerial lift, or other equipment operating experience
